EAT & DRINK

PLACES TO EAT AND DRINK IN SHERINGHAM

The Two Lifeboats

A great value pub with waves of history. Simple food, also offering Bed & Breakfast, boutique style rooms, enjoy a pint and watch the sunset on seafront.

> No 10 – 10 Augusta Street

This is our favourite restaurant in Sheringham it has a lovely intimate dinning room with great service from the owner, whether you go for lunch or supper, you can be sure you’ll be enjoying the very best that Norfolk has to offer – from Morston mussels to Aberdeen Angus beef from Upper Sheringham

The Funky Mackerel Cafe – East Promenade

Our go to for a coffee and a bacon sandwich. Its a lovely place to while away the time and watch the world go by, it’s a treasure trove of arts and crafts things you never knew you needed. The view is pretty good too.

> The Lobster- 13 High Street

The Lobster Inn provides excellent meals and ales in its bar with a roaring log fire. Live music inside and outside most weekends during the summer months

Pungleperry’s – 28 High Street

If you like ice cream this is the place for you, in our opinion whether it’s a steaming hot day or theres snow on the ground there’s no wrong time to enjoy a Pungleperry’s ice cream! With flavours like Jaffa cake, lemon merengue, rocky road or sticky toffee pudding you’re going to leave with a smile on your face, they do pretty good milkshakes too!

The Sitting Room – 4 Augusta Street

Just around the corner from Seaview villa is the sitting room, pop in and choose a delicious treat from their patisserie selection and enjoy it with a barista made coffee or a pot of tea. They are open until 9pm Fridays so why not visit for a glass of wine and Tapas before going to No 10 for the main event.

Roy Boy’s Cafe

A family run cafe in the centre of town, serving sandwiches and jacket potatoes, if you’re in need of a traditional English breakfast after a heavy night enjoying your holiday then this is the place to come!

PLACES TO EAT AND DRINK IN SURROUNDING AREAS

Rocky Bottoms – Cromer Road, West Runton

This awesome cafe serves fresh seafood caught by the owner Richard.  If you like seafood this really is the place to go, take a bottle of wine, choose something from their mouthwatering menu, sit outside and enjoy the view out to sea.  They also have a takeaway counter so you can take some goodies home with you too!

No 1 Cromer

We love Fish and chips from No1 Cromer, eat in with a glass of wine or a beer or take them away and enjoy them on Cromer pier. This is the latest restaurant from renowned chef, Galton Blackiston. Locally sourced produce is at the heart of the menu and the ethos of No1 Cromer. Try upstairs at No 1 for some modern British cooking with unrivalled views of the sea and Cromer pier.

The Red Lion – Cromer

Another of our favourites, we like to walk to Cromer with our dogs, build up our appetite so we can enjoy an afternoon Sunday roast and a couple of drinks before getting the bus back to Sheringham.  You can eat in the bar area and enjoy the panoramic views of the coast or if you would like a more intimate setting book a table in the restaurant.

Craft Burger – Cromer

Sometimes you’ve just got to have a burger and you won’t be disappointed here, their burgers are hand crafted out of half pound Norfolk steak mince and live in a brioche or a gluten free bun. Take your pick from the classic to the ugly burger, they also serve salads and steaks you which you can wash down with one or more of the craft beers they sell.
